Since opening our Architectural Design Studio, we’ve had one goal in mind:
to create high-quality, well crafted buildings that are elegant, simple and cost-effective with an emphasis on sustainability.
People and stories are at the heart of what we do and the main priority at YARN is understanding the specific needs of each client to develop connections between users and space to maximise potential. This customer-driven approach and our design expertise is part of our success.
Steve Marriott
Director
YARN was established by Steve Marriott following nearly 15 years of working for architects around Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, at Senior and Director level.
Having worked in both public and private sectors, on a vast array of interesting and complex schemes, Steve has a developed a keen eye for detail and has a passion for great design; understanding the best way to approach any new project, pulling together designs in a thoughtful and creative manner and ensuring full collaboration between clients, statutory bodies, building consultants and contractors, to help really bring a project to life.
Outside of the practice, Steve is a keen adventurist and enjoys mountain sports, spending time in the Peak District and relaxing with his family and friends.
